Of the 115 islands that make up the Seychelles, the 41 Inner Islands are the oldest granite islands in the universe. The remaining 74 islands - the Outer Islands - are coral islands.

The Inner Islands, notably Praslin and La Digue, are close to the main island, Mahé.
