When we speak of heaven on earth, Polynesia immediately comes to our mind.

Polynesia is a verdant oasis surrounded by turquoise waters, and populated by people whose kindness is legendary. A paradise to discover when chartering a private yacht with crew.

Location de voilier et catamaran en Polynésie

The magnificent and exotic islands of French Polynesia have captivated sailors for centuries. Of volcanic origin, they are most often surrounded by a navigable lagoon with numerous natural shelters.

Polynesia comprises 117 islands in 4 main archipelagos: the Society Islands, the Tuamotus, the Gambiers and the Marquesas. This region is as vast as Western Europe. The main Society Islands include Bora Bora, Raiatea, Tahaa and Huahine. These are the sparkling jewels you'll discover on your Tahiti cruise, on our luxury motor or sailing yachts.

Raiatea

From Raiatea you will discover some of the jewels of the South Pacific. You will sail quietly with the steady and warm trade winds that will guide you through the colorful coral reefs and the beautiful clear waters of the lagoons.

Rangiroa (Tuamotu)

If your itinerary takes you to the Tuamotu, you will visit the most beautiful atolls of Polynesia. Rangiroa is a huge turquoise lagoon lined with white sand beach. A little tour to the coral garden and the enchantment is there: multicolored fish, moray eels, dolphins.

Crossing downwind will then take you to Tikehau, the Bird Island and Eden Farm, waiting for you on a wild expedition. A dive with manta rays on the old pearl farm will end this unforgettable cruise to Tuamotu.

Bora Bora

Long preferred by sailors, Bora Bora is one of the small tropical paradises of the South Pacific. A single barrier reef encircles the two islands that make up Bora Bora. One of the major interests of the lagoon is the quality of snorkeling and swimming. The smallest island, Topua, is the only remnant of the Bora Bora volcano. Safe anchorages, white sand beaches, restaurants, shops, art galleries, luxury hotels, shore excursions, such are the pleasures offered by Bora Bora.

Huahine

Known locally as "Garden Island" because of its lush rainforests, vanilla, copra and watermelon cultures, Huahine is actually made up of two mountainous islands connected by a short strip of land. It is less crowded than Bora Bora or Tahiti. Miles of white sand beaches, safe anchorages, wonderful snorkeling are the major assets of this South Pacific treasure.

Weather

In this region with a humid tropical climate, there are two seasons, the dry season from May to October (the austral winter) and the wet season from November to April (the austral summer), a period when cyclones can be born.

From May to October, regular sector trade winds are producing more sunny, well-ventilated days, interspersed with a period of strong (20 knots) south wind and cold called Maraamu. The period from November to April experiences days of calm, hot, saturated humidity (> 80%).
